He of the Deep Wooded Places represents the primal masculine emanation of the Great Divine within the terrestrial realm.  Here, he is the "antlered one” -  Lord of the Greenwood, Consciousness of the Forest.  He treads the Wheel of the Year and herds the Seasons along, each one in its own cycle of Nature.
