Hecate was originally a goddess of the wilderness and childbirth originating from Thrace, or among the Carians of Anatolia.
Historically venerated as a mother goddess in Greek culture, as time went on, we find that she ultimately became best known as a goddess of sorcery the 'Queen of Ghosts'. She is the Bearer of the Keys to the mysteries of the Otherworld, a Goddess who who can help you to move through times of despair and, as the Goddess of the Crossroads, will illuminate the paths of transition and change. Hecate can open gates that lead to new phases on your journey through life while teaching you to accept your Shadow self. It is only through acceptance of the Dark that we are able to fully participate and enjoy our life.
At Samhain and Beltane, Hecate insures safe travels for the spirits of the Otherworld and aligning with Her, as the Guardian of our unconscious mind at these times can help focus your psychic awareness.
The herbs used are 100% Certified Organic and are a magickal handcrafted blend from Branwen's Botanicals. I've chosen herbs that are traditionally associated with and sacred to Hecate along with Ancient Forest Black Tea to create a blend that is perfect to place on the altar as an offering to Hecate as well as to drink when in need of Her guidance and assistance.
To prepare: Simply place one teaspoon of this beautifully aromatic blend in a teabag or infuser and fill your cup with freshly boiled water. Allow to infuse for 1-2 minutes, breathing in the delicious steam as part of your ritual. Sweeten if desired.
